Yes I need reservation !

-Shiv Prasad Chauhan
I know that the topic is highly controversial and every one has his/her opinion in this regard, so it is not only difficult but impossible to generalize the thought to every one. When every political
personality is running hard in the rat race to impress the one or the other community or group so as to make their future secure and reliable. But how much benefit the common man will reap out of it? Remains a big question which is unanswered. Its really embarrassing to say that in the India which is among biggest democratic countries in the world, but still today we see and face the differences prevailing in the society, the poor needy still struggles for the basic right for food, shelter and education.
I do agree to a great degree that this is due to the fact that the casts and religions became more
prominent than any other factor in todays time. When it comes to a issue of national security or
concern of the nation altogether its hard and almost impossible to aggregate public in large number; but as and when it becomes a issue of any cast or religion a huge mob aggregates within a no time. Many a times I get a impression that the politicians of today became butchers who feed the bate all type of good feed very well before slaughtering them for their personal benefit.
When I was glancing through the main points of the last union Budget declared by honorable
finance minister Pranav Mukharji; thing that pricked very hard in my eyes and brains; that are
pinching me in my subconscious. I literally wanted to praise the keenness/cunningness of the finance minister over declaration of 1300 crore package for the minorities and 2000 crore pacage for the SC/ST etc. I really doubt how much of this money will reach to the real needy. The poor was poor earlier and will remain poor always unless a proper planning to benefit the real needy is implemented.
As Quota is implemented in the top colleges and universities so as to provide equal opportunities to the deprived, but still today when we see the data of the existing and pass out students we can clearly see that How many poor had got education in these top institutes? It is only the rich who had got broader horizons to fly.
I know now you might be thinking that I am trying to be over smart and wasting your valuable
time; the available and existing process is the only way which will bring India to prosperity. You will surely agree to this at least that without uplifting each and every citizen of India India will never become developed nation or being more precise economic superpower. So the question in hand is what can be done?
It is not as difficult as it seems to be, just think of a situation where in we have reservation for
only one cast/religion and that is EBC. EBC stands for economically backward class, and it will
include all those who are not economically sound to carry on the basic needs of life irrespective of any barrier in form of cast or religion. The student of EBC must be provided with free books, notebooks, writing aid, clothing and most important financial help in form of scholarships so that they need not work for their lively hood and leave education.
Take the example of developed nations like Britain, USA, Japan etc. where the government
provide scholarships equal to the amount of course fee to the students of the country to persuade and encourage students to pursue education. As these students are the foundation of the nation in the coming days. If the people of the country are educated the are much more competent to take critical decisions and think for betterment of self as well as the society and nation. The difference is very well in front of us even today.
Hoping for the bright and prosperous future of my loving country.........
